District Flipgrid

15 points - Complete Coaching Cycle - minimum of 4 lessons

Step 1: Goal Planning

You will have a pre-conference with an instructional coach (or with Jodie for technology goals) to set a goal for the cycle.  The focus is on what the students are doing, not what you are doing. With the coach, you will plan a lesson to co-teach. Part of the plan will be to collect a product from the students in order to have data for planning the next lesson.  The product could be an exit ticket, short assignment, etc.

Step 2: Co-teaching and collecting data

The coach will come back and co-teach the lesson which was planned together.  Student products will be collected for data.

Step 3: Post-conference

The teacher and coach will have a post-conference to talk about the goal, look at the data (from the product) and talk about what might need to be adjusted in the next lesson.

Repeat steps 1-3:

The above steps are repeated two or three more times. The coaching cycle includes a minimum of three co-taught lessons.

Conclusion:  You will complete a short google survey about the coaching cycle.
