  • June 29, 2009 - NLHS students named to All-Red River Softball Team are:  MVP - Rayn House; Newcomer of the Year - Ali Hargis; Coach of the Year - Kathy Barker; First Team - (Infield) Erin McGregor, Cobi Barker, Ashley Endsley; (Outfield) Chelsie Shackelford; Second Team - (Infield) Chelsea Jordan, Carley Conley, (Outfield) Taylor Steelman and Shelbi Phifer

  • June 29, 2009 - NLHS student Kevin Porter placed 6th at National  Skills USA Contest in Kansas City.  He Scored 76.17 and first place score was 82.65.  Students were from the  50 states, Virgin Islands , Porto Rico , and Guam.

  • June 22, 2009 - Carolyn Patterson has been selected to represent Region 8 as the 2009 Gifted and Talented Advocate of the Year.

  • May 27, 2009 - State UIL competition results:  Billy Goette - 1st in the state in Persuasive Speaking, state champion; Anna Winters - 2nd in the state in Literary Criticism; Carolyn Ball - 4th in the state in poetry.   Linda Winfrey coaches Literary Criticism; Kristi Hodgkiss coaches Persuasive Speech & Poetry Interpretation.

  • May 27, 2009 - NLHS One Act Play cast and crew earned 2nd in the state. Carolyn Ball and Josef Anderson earned all star cast and Carl Johnson earned honorable mention all star cast in One Act Play.  Laura Hutchings and Mark Russell are the directors.

  • May 22, 2009 - Stone Middle School students Colby Hodnett, Mitchell Lacey and Alexus Bussell named winners in the Chemical and Physical Division of the Region 8 Science Fair.

  • May 17, 2009 - NL Panthers Golfer Jay Cox finishes 10th in the Class 3A State Tournament.

  • May 17, 2009 - NL Panthers Golf team finished 6th in Class 3A State Tournament. 

  • May 17, 2009 - NL Pantherettes Softball advances to the Class 3A Quarterfinals Round.

  • May 17, 2009 - NL Panthers Baseball team forced a tie-braking Class 3A game in the Area Round Series.

  • May 9, 2009 - The voters of the North Lamar Independent School District passed Proposition 1 and Proposition 2 of the bond referendum.  Amy Stephens and Dave Osborne won the NLISD Trustee election.
