North Lamar joins PRMS campaign to #MaskUp

Paris, Texas, October 29, 2020 – North Lamar High School athletes recognized the Paris Regional Medical Center’s healthcare providers this week with signs of support and trays of cookies.  In return, the hospital donated 300 masks to the district and asked North Lamar to join in their #MaskUp campaign.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the dedicated leaders in the healthcare industry have been in the forefront to protect the health and safety of patients, employees and fellow community members.

“A big part of that has been requiring masking of all our employees, patients and visitors, and encouraging the wearing of masks in public spaces throughout our community as one of the most effective ways to slow the spread of COVID-19 until we have a vaccine,” said PRMC Director of Marketing and Communications Savannah Abbott

Addressing North Lamar, Abbott said, “You have been a great partner to PRMC and our community, and we would like to show our gratitude by helping to support your own efforts to protect your staff and others with a donation of 300 cloth face masks to your organization. We hope these masks will help your team members feel safer as they go about their day and confident that they are helping to protect others as well.”

In response, NLISD Superintendent Kelli Stewart said, “It’s awesome when our community reaches out to provide assistance and support for our staff.  I’m grateful for our partnership with Paris Regional Medical Center.  North Lamar ISD truly appreciates our local doctors and nurses for everything that they have done for our community during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

North Lamar will join Paris Regional Medical Center in their #MaskUp campaign and will share images of staff and students doing their part to mask up.

“We are proud to call you our partner in Making Communities Healthier, and we are thankful to be able to support your efforts with this donation,” said Abbott.
