FFA
*
Jennifer Clark
North Lamar FFA Advisor
The FFA's purpose was to develop leadership, citizenship, and cooperation
of those students involved in any aspect of agriculture. Agricultural
education and the FFA can expose students to a variety of experiences
similar to those they may encounter in their occupations. Students can
participate in many activities that will allow them to become eligible for
scholarships as well. Students may participate in public speaking events,
conduct meetings, judging contests, agriculture mechanics contests,
wildlife contests, as well as horticulture plant identification, just to
name a few. FFA members are also encouraged to participate in community
service, and mentor other students and educate them about how agriculture
touches everyone's lives. |
