Students Create Functional Uses from Lunch Milk Cartons

Instead of tossing their milk cartons into the trash cans after lunch, Rebecca Wood’s second grade class at Everett Elementary decided to see what they could make from them. Several created miniature airplanes, sailboats, cars, dog houses, aliens, and spaceships while others created recycled objects that could actually be put to use. Those items included birdhouses, pencil sharpener, piggy bank, coffee cup and accessory holder. Pictured with their creations are, front row, left to right, Stoney Shelton, Camdyn Kerstetter, Jaythan Brownfield, Katie Hodgkiss, Canae Hamilton, Gage Dollins, and Charles Balazs; back row, Isaac Hutchings, Chloe Miller, Lucas Kirkpatrick, Wrangler Priest, Catlyn Exum, Camrionah Williams, Ginny Haley, and Mandie Posey.
