  • May 8 - Ten NLHS senior athletes were presented scholarships during the annual sports banquet from the North Lamar Athletic Booster Club.  The recipients are Robyn Atkins, Chelsea Steelman, Rachel Edwards, Devin Wright, Logan Anglin, Ali Stone Emily Fouse, Cole Barker, Kory Lawson, and Hannah Grider.  Award Winners 

  • May 6 - Twelve Pantherettes are named to the All-District 11-4A Softball Team.  They are Most Valuable Players:  Chelsea Steelman and Rayn House; Catcher of the Year:  Kara Crawford; Defensive Player of the Year:  Ashley Endsley; Newcomer of the Year:  Cobi Barker; Coach of the Year:  Kathy Barker; First Team:  Kaci Crawford, Erin McGregor, Chelsie Shackelford; Second Team:  Taylor Steelman and Ashley Fendley; Honorable Mention:  Kassidy Moree and  Rainey Smith
    Academic All-District:  Chelsea Steelman,   Erin McGregor, Rayn House, Taylor Steelman, and Cobi Barker

  • May 6 - NLHS sophomore Sarah Gandy compete at the Cup of Flanders in Belgium and placed 1st on double-mini trampoline in the individual competition then was selected to compete in the team finals for the USA for which they also placed 1st.  She made finals on trampoline as well finishing 5th after finals, bringing her up to 2nd in the nation for points in the elite ranking system for trampoline. 

  • May 5 - Two NL students placed at the State UIL Meet.  Matthew Corley was named the 4A State Champion in Lincoln Douglas Debate and Katie Caraway placed 4th in Poetry Interpretation.

  • May 2 - NLHS Concert and Symphonic Bands received straight ones at the Region IV UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest. 

  • May 1 - Everett Principal Carey Malone has been named District 8 TEPSAN of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association.

  • May 1 - Three NLHS seniors Jake Whaley, Cassandra Wilson, and Rachael Garey,  received $4,000 scholarships each from the Lamar County A&M Scholarships Foundation.

  • April 30 - Everett 3rd Graders received 100% on TAKS Reading.

  • April 30 - UIL Academic Teams Results are: One Act Play - Advanced to State, Accounting  - 3rd Place Region, Currents Events - Advanced to Region, Literacy Criticism and Speech - 2nd Place District, and NLISD - 3rd Place District.

  • April 30 - UIL Academic Individual Results are: State Qualifiers - Jordan Sulsar, Jessica Martin, Katie Caraway, and Matthew Corley.  Regional winners are Katie Caraway, Samuel Cosgrove, Devin Wright, Tawney King, Zack Smith, Anissa Dejoux, Russell Jahn, Jon-Michael Barnett, Cole Kelley, and Anna Winters. District winners are Devin Wright, Samuel Cosgrove, Jordan McLemore, Noah Stewart, Josef Anderson, Logan Healy, Matt Winkler, Mallory Miller, Trish O'Connor, Aaron Mustin, Stephanie Norman, Chase Caldwell, Sam Winters, Jessica Martin, Chris Vanderburg, Danielle Jones, Kinsey Martin, Andrew Crosswhite, Ty Crawford, Matthew Corley, and Billy Goette.

  • April 30 - Placing as the Lamar County Junior Livestock Show were Garrett Clark, Jayla Davis, Brandon Clark, Luke Chipman, Hannah Hodnett, Ethan Nicholson, Wesley Hines, Noah Chipman, Tyler Russell, Matthew Thrasher, Hailey Earnest, Molly Middleton, Alex Flautt, Zack Zant, Thomas Erwin, Ryan Tyler, Chris Penson, Tiffany McLeod, Caleb Michael, Gilly Flautt, Montana Parson, Blake Johnson, and Blake Hadley.

  • April 30 - Blue Ribbons come home with NLHS FFA Team from the Houston Project Show.  Winners are Sam Hodnett, Quade Sherwood, Hamish Harley, Blake Hadley, Gilly Flautt, and the team project.  Members of the team are Myles Russel, Chris Penson, Chase Lewis, Quade Sherwood, and Sam Hodnett.

  • April 30 - Five NLHS student were recognized at the Regional Science Fair: Davis White, Zachary Springer, Jackson Graves, Lacy White, and Kevin Crawford.  Other regional participants were Zachary Anthony, Will Harrington, Tyler Bussell, Aaron Mustin, Morgan Beckman, Cameron Smith, and Cody Daniel.

  • April 30 - NLHS Resource Science Teacher Sandra Patterson is a finalist for the Texas ATPE Educator of the Year Award

  • April 30 - Stone Middle School Honor and Symphonic Bands earn 23rd consecutive Sweepstakes Award at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest.

  • April 30 - Stone Middle School Treble Choir received Sweepstakes Award at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest.

  • April 30 - NLHS UIL One Act Play, Shakespeare in Hollywood advanced to Area competition.

  • April 30 - Three NLHS students are State winners in Future Business Leaders of America.  They are Anissa DeJoux, Tawney King, Russell Jahn, and  Zachary Smith.

  • April 30 - NLHS Prom King and Queen are Logan Healey and Katie Caraway.

  • April 28 - NLHS sophomore Sarah Gandy won a Gold Medal in U.S. Double-Mini Trampoline and qualified for the U.S. Championships.

  • April 27 - Two NL seniors Qualon Fort and Justin Collard received the Gold and Silver medals, respectively, and advanced to the State Meet.

  • April 27 - NL senior Jordan Rhoads accepts a $1,000 grant from Wal-Mart.

  • April 24 - NL sophomore Sarah Gandy won the gold on the Double-Mini Trampoline at the Elite Challenge in Mobile Al and will travel to Belgium to compete in the Flanders Cup this week.

  • April 23 - Four NLHS students are UIL State Qualifiers:  Jordan Sulsar - Prose Interpretation, Jessica Martin - Computer Applications, Katie Caraway - Poetry Interpretation, and Matt Corley - Lincoln-Douglas Debate. 

    They will compete in Austin on May 1, 2, and 3.
  • April 22 - Four NLHS Panthers named to the All-Red River Valley Boys Basketball Team:  First Team - Justin Collard and Qualon Fort, Second Team - Patrick Thomas, and Honorable Mention - Hawk Hawkins

  • April 21 - 78 NLHS seniors were recognized for following the Texas Scholars graduation plan.
