The North
Lamar Education Foundation (NLEF) is a non-profit organization that
works to secure scholarship monies through donors and fund-raising
events for North Lamar students wishing to further their education
beyond high school. Established in 1998, the foundation was formed
by North Lamar administrators, faculty, staff, and community members.
Today it strives to inform parents and students of the benefits of
obtaining an education at the next level. As a parent,
grandparent, property owner or business owner, the on-going involvement
and support are vital. Contributions made to the foundation
provide an integral link to the quality of education NL students can
receive after high school. NLEF scholarship applications are
available in the spring through every senior English class. Awarded NLEF
scholarships may be applied toward junior colleges, colleges,
universities, and vocational or technical schools.
