Foundation Goals

  • Identify and evaluate projects with board and community support to help obtain financial resources for the NLEF

  • Sponsor programs which motivate students to continue education beyond high school and inform parents and students of educational and career opportunities

  • Work with existing organizations to provide additional opportunities for our students

  • Monitor the use of gifts and grants to ensure that donors' intended use is met

  • Award scholarships to NL seniors wishing to further his/her education beyond high school

  • Award dual credit scholarships to senior students based on need

The North Lamar Education Foundation (NLEF) is a non-profit organization that works to secure scholarship monies through donors and fund-raising events for North Lamar students wishing to further their education beyond high school.  Established in 1998, the foundation was formed by North Lamar administrators, faculty, staff, and community members.  Today it strives to inform parents and students of the benefits of obtaining an education at the next level.  As a parent, grandparent, property owner or business owner, the on-going involvement and support are vital.  Contributions made to the foundation provide an integral link to the quality of education NL students can receive after high school.  NLEF scholarship applications are available in the spring through every senior English class. Awarded NLEF scholarships may be applied toward junior colleges, colleges, universities, and vocational or technical schools.
